The company is providing in-house state-of-the-art capabilities, which include adhesive formulation, polymerization, coating, casting and extrusion as well as clean-room conversion and die-cutting, it is well placed to support the needs of the market, both today and into the future.

To strengthen the team of our client at his site in Neuwied we are currently looking for a

Market Development Manager EMEA – Medical (m/f)

Key Responsibilities

Medical Market Development [>70%]

  • Initial focus to be on the German and Scandinavia Regions.
  • Working closely with the Regional Sales Teams, develop existing customers and acquire new customers, focussing on Strategic importance and scalability.
  • Using Account Management Tools - LAMP; High/Wide/Deep - develop, implement and maintain customer strategies and business plans.
  • Coordinate the development and support - at Regional level - of designated Strategic Accounts.
  • Promote the development of business through the identification of new applications and/or new product development opportunities and/or new potential customers.
  • Working closely with the Product Manager, support the continued development and introduction of the Medical Technology Platform-based product portfolio.
  • Implement marketing programs and, through the evaluation of products and competitive developments, provide feedback on required changes in product and/or service mix.
  • Review product and customer development initiatives to avoiding duplication of activity and to ensure that the Market Led approach is maintained.


Strategic Account Management [<30%]

  • Manage and grow existing defined Strategic Accounts.
  • Drive development of the Strategic Accounts through the:
    • elimination of internal process and procedural barriers
    • progression and closure of existing opportunities and projects
    • generation of new opportunities and projects.


General

  • Ensure customer forecasts for existing and developing business is captured and reported into the business so that capacity and resources can be planned accordingly.
  • Support in the preparation of business cases where self-financing capital investment is required.
  • Promote Capability-based sales solutions.
  • Prepare for and present timely customer Project Reviews to ensure expected and planned milestones are met.
  • Attend and support trade shows/exhibitions and seminars.
  • Support in the identification of potential acquisitions / JV’s / Strategic Partnerships.
  • Use and encourage the use of CRM.


Internal

  • Work with internal teams, including such as: Research & Development, Supply Chain, Controlling and the Regional Sales Teams (Globally).
  • Attend as required internal training sessions.
  • Attend as required internal Group, Regional, Functional and Segment meetings.
  • Be an active member of project team(s) in the product development process. Monitor and help drive timely completion of key milestones in the development process.
  • Support the planning / budgeting process at Regional and Group level.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Market Manager.



Your Profile

This role requires a commercially driven strategically minded person with meticulous attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills and the desire to be an integral part of highly focused and driven market management team.
The person will have B2B sales experience ideally – but not essentially - gained within the Medical Device or Life Sciences market and will be educated to degree level in a Life Sciences, Technical or Business subject.
