Our client is leading company (Joint Venture) in cutting edge sensing technology with over 4 decades of experience in environmental sensor technology. Its solution portfolio covers products for air quality sensing, humidity and temperature sensing, ultrasonic flow sensing, time-to-digital converters and pressure sensor development. Its products will be sold within well-known global industry partners, covering Automotive, Telecommunication, Industrial Control and Home Appliance companies all over the world.

To strengthen the team of our client at his site in Stutensee (GER) we are currently looking for a

Head of Purchasing (m/f/d)

• Responsible for strategic, technical and operational purchasing throughout the entire international organization
• Development and realization of a mid- and long-term purchasing strategy, including the selection of international suppliers
• Optimizing supply chain and purchasing processes in all relevant areas
• Negotiating international contracts with suppliers concerning prices, quality and delivery
• Implementation of purchase-related KPI and managing supplier w scorecards
• Supplier audits and the further development of the existing supplier structures and relations
• Leading a small purchasing team and participating in hands-on purchasing

• Degree in Engineering/Master’s degree in a technical discipline like Electronics, Physics, Material Sciences, Chemistry or equivalent areas or equivalent degree in Business Administration
• Analytical way of thinking, organizational skills, forward-looking strategic approach
• Strong experience with purchasing of goods and services
• Strong communication skills (both oral and written in formal and informal situations)
• Legal knowledge of and experience with contracts and negotiations
• Strong leadership abilities (self-driven, proactive, taking initiative, team player)
• Being a driver and good motivator
• Willingness to travel
• Knowledge of the semiconductor/sensor industry is an advantage
• Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
