Following completion of his degree programme in sociology, Ulrich Althen accepted a
position at ISA Consult GmbH, Hamburg. His responsibilities within the HR Development &
Change Management organisation at ISA included development and implementation of
innovative personnel development concepts.
In 2004, Ulrich Althen and Tobias Hensel jointly established Althen Hensel GmbH.
Over the following years, Ulrich oversaw a number of recruitment consulting projects.
Since 2007 he has completed numerous interim recruitment management mandates. Having
served the international consultancy firm Harvey Nash GmbH as an external consultant
responsible for internal staff recruitment for all German offices, he accepted a mandate
as project head at Bombardier Transportation, the global leader in rail technology, in
2008. From 2010 to 2014 he undertook an assignment as Senior International Recruiter at
Bombardier.
His strengths include a firm commitment to the client, excellent communication skills
and a high degree of interpersonal sensitivity.
Upon completing his degree programme in social sciences, Tobias Hensel began his
career in personnel consulting at the management consultancy Login GmbH in Berlin in
early 1993. He subsequently served a two-year term as director of the Hamburg office
of Inlingua International, an international language services company. In 1997 he
accepted a position as recruitment consultant at pdv Personalberatung and was promoted
to Head of Profit Centre in 1998. In his subsequent positions as Senior Manager at the
personnel and management consultancy firms PMM Management Consultants/TMP and ISA Consult
he was able to expand his expertise significantly.
In 2004, he established Althen Hensel GmbH jointly with Ulrich Althen. Since
then Tobias Hensel has served Bombardier Transportation as interim recruiter at the
client's Brussels and Berlin offices; Brocade Communications, Geneva as Staffing Manager
EMEA; and the AIRBUS Recruitment Center, Toulouse as Global Sourcing Manager. In addition,
he supported Balcke-Dürr GmbH/SPX, Ratingen, Germany as Manager Talent Sourcing since 2009.
His successful mandates in headhunting, recruiting and recruitment management and his
international experience have earned him accolades.
Following completion of a BSc in Psychology and Sport Science from the University of Surrey in London, Frankie joined a leading IT Recruitment company in London. He quickly moved up the ranks to Senior Consultant / Team Leader where he had built a solid reputation across London as the ''Go-To'' recruiter for Technology and IT. Frankie joined Futurestep / KornFerry as Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner, where he enjoyed huge success in growing a multi-national client, having covered Technical and Non-Technical recruitment in the EMEA region and built up a wealth of experience in working cross functionally in many diverse verticals including Ireland, UK, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Switzerland, France, Hungary, Dubai and South Africa.
Frankie has joined our team in 2016 to lead and drive the recruitment function for our new client globally.
Lori Sitton holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources from Boston University and brings global experience in talent attraction, selection, and development. She has successfully recruited top talent across a variety of industries including power and energy, electronics manufacturing, and food and beverage processing, and is an expert in talent acquisition strategy and recruitment process design, implementation, and training.
Lori has enjoyed a collaborative working relationship with Althen Hensel since 2011 in her role as Talent Sourcing Business Partner EMEA with SPX. In 2016, she joined Althen Hensel, becoming a part of the international recruiting team for our global client.

IV. Data privacy of candidate/applicant information
Provided that we have become aware of you through active searches in networks, and you transmit to us personally identifiable data by submitting your application documents, please note the provisions below in addition to the above stipulations.
Scope of data-processingWe will initially record the information contained in your application documents submitted by you, regularly including the following:
In addition, we may record additional personally identifiable data from application interviews.
If we have identified you through social networks such as Xing or LinkedIn, we will capture publicly accessible information from your profile as well as content from our communication with you, if applicable.
In addition to capturing such data within the scope described above, we will also store this information in our database.
We will process your data so we can refer you successfully to employers stored in our database.
Upon completion of the application process, or six months after the receipt of your application, whichever occurs first, your applicant information will be deleted. Provided that you have given your consent to our storing your personally identifiable data beyond that time for purposes such as referring other vacancies to you, your personally identifiable data will be deleted after two years at the latest. Stored personally identifiable data we have captured from the social networks Xing or LinkedIn will be deleted following the end of our communication unless you are interested in job referrals and an actual application process has been initiated.
The legal basis for processing the application data submitted by you is GDPR, Art. 6(1)(1)(b). Processing your data is necessary to make pre-contractual arrangements between you and any potential employers. GDPR, Art. 6(1)(1)(f) provides an additional legal basis. Our legitimate interest arises from the above-described purpose of referring you to potential employers which, because of the application initiated by you, is not contrary to your interests.
In the event that we collect your information through active searching, for example, in social networks, the legal basis for processing your data is GDPR, Art. 6(1)(1)(f). In this context we have a legitimate business interest in recruiting personnel for our clients.
The recipients of candidate or applicant data are internal departments charged with processing your documents. In addition, we may transmit your data to selected employers (third parties), for whose employment offers you have applied, provided that you have been shortlisted as a candidate. In the event that you are found to be suitable for other vacancies, as well, your data will only be referred to the respective clients after you have given your express consent.
